On Sunday, September 20, 2015,became the first woman of color to win the 'Best Actress' Emmy Awards.

Davis won the historic award for her role as  extraordinary performance as Annalise Keating in ABC'sundefined

Receiving the award, the actress who presented an emotional and outstanding speech said, "The only thing that separates women of color from everyone else is opportunity. You cannot win an Emmy for roles that are simply not there."

The actress also paid tribute to other African-American actresses, like Halle Berry,  Taraji P. Henson, Kerry Washington, Megan Good and Gabrielle Union.
