Singer, wife welcome first child

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have welcomed their first child together.It was revealed earlier today, April 17, when Teigen posted on Instagram that her  baby daughter had been born on Thursday, April 14, and she was named, Luna.

"She's here! Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy," Chrissy wrote in the caption.

Luna means 'moon' in Latin, and is also one of the names of Artemis the moon goddess in mythology. Simone is the feminine form of Simon.

Chrissy has spoken in the past about her fertility struggles, and used IVF to conceive her child, revealing she hand-picked a female embryo to ensure she and John would have a daughter.
