Nigerian football star Mikel Obi turns 28

Super Eagles and Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel is 28 years today.

The famous midfielder who was involved in a transfer saga between Manchester United and Chelsea in 2006, is one of the most decorated African footballers of all time.

He has won the the English Premier league once, four FA Cups, two league cups, one FA Community shield, one UEFA Champions League, and one Europa League title.

In 2013, he played in the African Cup of Nations winning squad. He remains one of Africa's top footballers.

He is currently engaged to Olga Diyachenko.
