Ariana Grande has responded to veteran singer Bette Midler's mean comment about her saying she'll still remains a big fan of the 70s star no matter what.
Midler may have hurt Ariana with her comment: "It's always surprising to see someone like Ariana Grande with that silly high voice, a very wholesome voice, slithering on a couch," adding, "You don't have to make a out of yourself to get ahead."
Sources close to the star told the media, the "Break Free" crooner was 'shocked and hurt' by Midler's comment because of two major reasons. First, she is Midler's biggest fan and secondly, Better herself did almost exactly what Ariana is doing now.
Ariana posted on Twitter, "Bette was always a feminist who stood for women being able to do whatever the F they wanted without judgment! not sure where that Bette went but I want that sexy mermaid back!!! always a fan no matter what my love."
According to TMZ, when Bette Midler hit big back in the '70s, she was overtly sexual and raunchy on stage.
So why is a pot calling a kettle black?
