Ask and you shall receive
There are two classes of Christians, those who receive because they have asked, and others, who are afraid to ask because of their numerous sins.
Those in the first class realise who they are and the blessings that come with this.
They understand that they serve a living God, who created the Heavens and the earth, thus, He can do exceedingly above, all they could possibly ask for.
Unfortunately, the second group allow the Devil to make them feel worthless, this feeling prevents them from having the confidence to approach God with their needs.
They go through life wondering why others seem to be highly favored, not realising that they also access to these blessings.
To this second class, God says 'ask and you shall receive."

The Bible also tells us that we do not receive because we have not asked.
James 4:2 says, "You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God."
Verse 3 answers a very important question, which is 'Why don't I always receive even when I ask?'
"When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures."
So, how do we ensure that we always receive when we ask?
Verses 6-7 tells us that God favours a humble heart, and that humility is a sure way to God's heart.
"....That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Let us strive to be submit ourselves to His will and He will not neglect to bless us, when we ask.
