'Benitez Would Suit Manchester United'

Rafa Benitez has been touted as a "good match" for Manchester United following the sack of their manager David Moyes.

Dietmar Hamann, former Liverpool midfielder says Benitez should be considered as the Red Devils go searching for a new manager.

"It is certainly a name they should consider.

"They need somebody with a track record who can work with the big players, who knows what is required to get in the Champions League and play a big role in it for years to come," Hamann told told talkSPORT.

Benitez who is currently managing Napoli spent six years at United’s bitter rivals Liverpool, winning the Champions League.

He also had a stint with Chelsea during which he won the Europa Cup.

"He and Manchester United would be a very good match. He had a few run-ins with Ferguson but he only pointed out a few facts, as he would say," the former Reds midfielder added.
