Morocco decided to pull out as CAF would not accede to its demand of a postponement and CAF would not let the North African nation circumvent the football statutes which the Royal Moroccan Football Federation is a signed party to and as a result, the country is disqualified from the tournament; if it holds next year

It was Tuesday when CAF made the declaration that Morocco would not host the tournament, it said that a new host was being sort and that in a matter of days, whichever country that agrees to the 'risks' and 'benefits' of staging the tournament would be announced

Two days since Tuesday, Issa Hayatou has come out to again say that a host would be found in 2-3 days, this in anticipation that it calms the nerves of many who are desperate to know where or whether the tournament would hold after-all

Hayatou told French channel France 24

Where the wagon would swing is yet unknown, however, if speculations are anything to go by, the Nations Cup may be held in Qatar… that surely would change history

Unconfirmed rumours say that Algeria, Gabon, Egypt, Sierra Leone and Qatar seek to replace Morocco, even a joint hosting between four countries is in the news too.
