A leaked Microsoft presentations confirmed this along with some of the specifications of the smartphones. Microsoft is due to launch the devices at an event in New York City on October 6, along with the Surface Pro 4 and Microsoft Band 2.

The Verge reports that Microsoft appears to be focusing on the Windows Hello feature of Windows 10 Mobile for its core marketing focus. Windows Hello is a feature that will allow Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL users to unlock their phones with their face.

The leaked presentation slides also reveal that a Microsoft Display Dock to enable the Continuum feature that can turn these phones into PCs will be present.

Although the company is focusing on flagship device next month, it is also possible that the company will launch a budget device as well.

The same Facebook leak reveals a new Lumia 550 smartphone with a 5-inch display, 1 GHz processor, and a 5-megapixel camera to boot.

Microsoft’s numbering method seems to support the theory that this new device could be a replacement to the popular Lumia 5** series devices, which are aimed at the lower end of the market.
