As the world awaits the grand nuptials between Mariah Carey and Australian billionaire, James Packer, sometime this year, the singer has confirmed shes already in possession of the most important item - her wedding dress!

The legendary singer has confirmed to E! News that she has already bought her wedding gown and it will definitely blow minds.

"I have the dress," the mum-of-two told E! News. When asked where she is keeping her bridal gown, she replied: "It's in a box, darling."

While details of her nuptials remain under wraps, the bride revealed this week that they are making progress when it comes to planning their big day.

"We're getting it together, darling," Carey said. "You know what? It's time. The dress and the whole thing. I'm working and he's working and everyone puts on much pressure."

The exact date to the forthcoming wedding hasn't been announced yet but what we know is Mariah is technically still married to ex husband, Nick Cannon, the father of her twins, Moroccan and Monroe.

Nick and Mariah split in August 2014 and he filed for divorce later that year. Although they struck a property settlement and agreed joint custody of their children in December 2014, it was recently claimed that Nick has repeatedly declined to sign the paperwork to make the divorce official. But he insists its all false alarm.

"There's nothing to tell… me and Mariah get along great, and it's a process, nobody is holding nothing up. Why would I hold it up? I want her to be happy. She is such a beautiful spirit, and we put the kids first," Nick told Extra last week.

Well, we all can’t wait to see who Mariah Carey will be wearing on her wedding day… Oh Darling, it's going to be epic!
