Body and mouth odour (halitosis) can be caused by a lot of things. While it may be a function of improper hygiene and negligence on the part of the person, it could also be caused by a number of factors which include; Body Odour- pheromones in sweat (sexually attracts or repels others), excessive accumulation of sweat on the skin, or the action of bacteria feeding on dead cells, for body odours. While for mouth odours (Halitosis): accumulated bacteria in the mouth or throat.

Body/mouth odour could pose a big problem to human relationship as most intimate acts need physical contact and proximity, ad it makes a lot of people uncomfortable when they have to tell the person who has it.
