Ronaldinho says Super Eagles great was the only No 10 he admired
Brazil legend
Okocha and Ronaldinho played for just one season together at Paris Saint-Germain and there is a popular Nigerian legend that says the former Barcelona star learnt a lot of his skills from the Nigerian great.
It seems Ronaldinho confirmed it when he shared a photo of him and Okocha revealing that he always admired the former Super Eagles captain.
“Only a shirt I always admired. Jay-Jay Okocha,” Ronaldinho wrote alongside the photo of him, Okocha and former Colombia star, Carlos Valderrama.
The former footballers met in Bahrain where they are attending the 67th FIFA Congress.
After leaving Paris Saint-Germain, Okocha had a memorable stint at Bolton Wanderers before playing for the likes of Qatar SC and Hull City.
Ronaldinho’s career skyrocketed when he left Paris Saint-Germain, becoming the best footballer while playing for Barcelona.
With Barcelona, he won two La Liga titles, the Champions League, FIFA World Player of the Year twice in 2004 and 2005 and the Ballon d'Or in 2005.
He is regarded as one of the most skilful footballers in history.
