Chelsea have signed Olivier Giroud in a shocking swoop from bitter rivals Arsenal. Chelsea have been in search of a striker all winter and have finally sealed the deal to sign Oliver Giroud from Arsenal for £18million.

Giroud leaves Arsenal who on Wednesday also confirmed the signing of Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for £56m.

Dortmund on their own have signed striker Michy Batshuayi on a loan deal from Chelsea.

Riyad Mahrez

Manchester City are trying hard to get Riyad Mahrez  from Leicester City and have raised their bid to £60million for the Algerian.  It is still not certain if the two clubs can reach an agreement before the window closes at 11pm.

City have had two bids of £50m and £55m rejected by Leicester City.
