Plateau United on Saturday, April 7 defeated USM Alger 2-1, while Enyimba International on Friday, April 6 picked up a 1-1 draw away against Bidvest Wits in their 2018 CAF Confederations Cup play off matches.

Plateau United defeated USM Algers by two goals to 1 at the Agege soccer temple, to take a slight advantage going into their second leg clash.

Plateau United took the lead in the 23rd minute through King Osanga, as they went to the break with a one goal lead.

USM Alger fought their way back to equalise through Faouzi Yaya in the 55th minute.

 

Plateau United got what turned out to be the winner in the 75th minute through Emma James as they go to the second leg with a slender advantage.

Bidvest Wits 1 Enyimba 1

After defeating Energie in the previous round, Enyimba were able to get a draw (1-1) and away goal in their CAF Confederations Cup play off game with Bidvest Wits.

Both goals came in the first half, Daine Klate with the opener for Bidvest Wits in the second minute, while Mustapha Ibrahim equalised for Enyimba in the fifth minute, as the Nigeria side held on for a draw.

Plateau United and Enyimba will play the return leg matches will be played on the Tuesday, April 17.

Akwa United vs El Hilal, MFM vs Djoliba,

The other two Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) sides will plaay on Sunday, April 8 Akwa United take on El Hilal, while MFM will play against Djoliba,
