After a five-week break, a host of Arsenal first team stars resumed training at their training base at London Colney.

Iwobi was however not in training as he has been given extra holidays before resuming training.

He hit Super Eagles camp in France on Monday, May 29 immediately after lifting the FA Cup following Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the final.

Iwobi played in Super Eagles 3-0 win over Togo in a June 1 friendly game and their shocking 2-0 home loss to South Africa in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

With his international engagements after last season Iwobi and the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka and Olivier Giroud were not in training on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old has started thinking about next season already as he took to his Instagram to share a photo of him in the new Arsenal shirt.

In Arsenal training on Tuesday, new signing Sead Kolasinac got to meet his teammates for the first time since his free transfer from Schalke.

Mesut Ozil, Lucas Perez, Per Mertesacker, Theo Walcott, Danny Welbeck, Jeff Reine-Adelaide and Kieran Gibbs were some of the Arsenal players present in training.

Arsenal will head to Australia on July 13 for a pre-season tour before they travel to China where they will face Bayern Munich and Chelsea.

Their annual Emirates Cup will be next before their season’s opener against Chelsea on Sunday, August 6 in the Community Shield.
