The former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has denied decamping to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

There were reports online, that Kwankwaso and 10 All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains dumped the ruling party.

According to Daily Trust, the former Governor, in a statement issued by his Personal Assistant, Nafiu Umar Dankura described the reports as false.

The statement reads: “I want to categorically dispel the rumour and fake news that is circulating in some online media and radio stations that distinguished Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso has defected to the PDP. This is not true as we all know he played a key role in the formation of the APC and he is still one of the strong pillars of the party.”

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that it will work hard to bring back some of its influential members.
