The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain was abducted in the early hours of Monday on his way to Abuja with details of the incident still unclear.
Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, Alberto Adeyemi, has confirmed the incident with media reports also indicating that the kidnappers have contacted Arise's family with a ransom demand to secure his freedom.
