Sacked teachers vandalise State Assembly properties, attack lawmakers

The Kaduna State Union of Teachers were said to have staged a protest to the House which resulted in a violent attack on lawmakers and the Assembly complex.

The Kaduna State Union of Teachers were said to have staged a protest to the House which resulted in a violent attack on lawmakers and the Assembly complex.

In reaction to the attack, the state government wondered if the teachers are the same set of people who want the education of children to be entrusted in their hands.

It was gathered that the aggrieved teachers shattered the glass windows of the complex and also harassed officials of the House of assembly.

The state Governor Nasir El-Rufai had sacked 21,000 teachers across the state after they failed a primary four pupil exam.
