Photos From The Most Glamorous Royal Wedding In Benin City

Here are photos from one of the most expensive royal weddings we have ever seen in the history of Nigeria - seriously!

In what can be tagged the "most jaw-dropping event" we have seen this year (or ever), all of the high and mighty personalities in Nigeria made their way to the ancient city of Benin in Edo state, to witness the traditional marriage ceremony of the Olu of Warri's son, Prince Tsola Emiko and Ivie Okunbo, daughter of billionaire businessman, Captain Hosa Okunbo.

The lavish event took place on Saturday, November 8, 2014, and everybody who is anybody in Nigeria attended - from politicians to socialites, to entertainers - it was the kind of stuff fairytales were made of!

According to some reports, at least fifteen private jets were sent to Lagos to pick up some of the wedding guests.

Among the notable personalities who attended the party are: the Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion; Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole; CAN President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor; former Foreign Affairs Minister, Chief Tom Ikimi; wife of former Lagos State governor, Senator (Mrs) Oluremi Tinubu; CEO of Capital Oil, Ifeanyi Uba; son of  late Chief M.K.O Abiola, Kola Abiola; musicians, Omawunmi and Davido alongside the HKN crew; as well as some Nollywood stars including Osas Ighodaro.

The wedding was unlike anything we've seen before - tasteful and (very) extravagant. And in case you've been wondering, the answer is YES! Prince Charming really does exist!

The lovely couple were the epitome of royalty as they dazzled in their traditional royal outfits, and they really looked perfect together.

Photos from the wedding were shared by Ovation Magazine publisher, Dele Momodu, on his official Instagram page. Scroll down to see some of the pictures in the gallery below.

Congratulations to Prince Tsola and Princess Ivie!
