Man stabs friend to death over dry gin

Baba Timo reportedly lost his life while in a fight with his friend over a sachet of dry gin.

A yet to be named man reportedly killed his friend after an argument ensued over a sachet of dry gin in the Otto area of Lagos.

The deceased, Mr. Abudu, but popularly called Baba Timo was relaxing with his friend at a local joint when a disagreement ensued between the two. According to Vanguard, the argument started at about 8pm and lasted till about 10pm when a scuffle followed. During the fight, Baba Timo and his friend were reportedly wielding dangerous weapons like broken bottle and cutlass.

Baba Timo reportedly used cutlass on his friend’s head and hand while his friend retaliated with a broken bottle on Baba Timo’s neck which resulted in his death.

Baba Timo reportedly died on the spot while his friend is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Lagos.

After the killing, police raided the area and arrested about 30 suspects.
