Should Kim Kardashian Have Been Paid $500,000 for Darey's Love Like A Movie Concert?

As we've previously reported, Kim Kardashian was in the country over the weekend for Dare Art-Alade's Love Like A Movie concert. Now word on the grapevine is that the reality TV star who has been criticised severally in the media for her lack of talent was reportedly paid a whooping $500,000 for her guest appearance at the show. However, it would appear that Miss Kardashian translated the term a little too literarily as she stayed all of about two hours at the event - enough time to host the red carpet, take a few pictures and hob nob with celebrities/guests/journalists and announce the start of the show with a «Hello Nigeria» before she left and caught the next flight home.

Now we don't know the exact details of her contract with the organisers of the show, what we do know is that she was announced as host of the red carpet and host the red carpet she did. But apparently, the news of her oh-so-brief visit spread far and wide sparking off heavy criticism from both local and international media. Many felt that Kim Kardashian didn't need to be paid that amount of money to participate  in a show that she didn't even stay till the end for (which still rocked without her anyway) while others argued that with the level of suffering and poverty in Nigeria, paying $500,000 to someone who's «famous for being famous» does nothing to improve our situation as a country.

So what do you think? Should Kim Kardashian have been paid $500,000 to participate in the LLAM concert?
