65-yr-old man arrested for raping 2-yr-old

A 65-year-old grandfather arrested by the police in Abia State for raping a 2-year-old girl has blamed the devil for his actions.

According to Punch Newspaper, Asibiriobwu who was paraded at the Command Headquarters in Umuahia by the State Commissioner of Police, Adeleye Oyebade, on Monday, October 24, 2016, was said to have defiled the girl who was kept under his care.

Addressing newsmen during the parade of the paedophile, Oyebade said the suspect was arrested by the officers of the State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Umuahia after he raped the toddler at Oriendu, a suburb of the state capital.

“The suspect was arrested when the mother of the victim raised the alarm on sighting her daughter crying, while blood and fluid were gushing out of her private parts.

The victim was taken to a hospital where the rape case was established. The suspect has confessed to the crime and will be arraigned in court after the conclusion of police investigation.”

Responding to questions, Asibiriobwu blamed the devil for his actions, claiming he must have bewitched when he defiled the girl.
