Becca and Sarah Duncan decided to face reality and take these sweet photos for posterity sake knowing that their dad, Scott Duncan, who is dying of Alzheimer's would not be there for the real deal or even remember it.

Scott was first diagnosed with the disease in 2012 and has just been moved to a 24-hour nursing facility.

Speaking with ABC News, Becca said:

"We just randomly thought of this idea, Me and Sarah know that our dad is more than likely not going to be at our wedding – it's not being a downer or anything; we're just being realistic – so we decided to do these wedding pictures with Dad."

Dressed in donated floor length wedding dresses, Becca and Sarah spent 10 minutes posing for the camera with their 80-year-old dad.

Becca adds:

"The entire experience was the best thing in the world. Seeing him coming down the hall and seeing us in our wedding dresses and him smiling. It meant so much to us. You could see the smile on his face."

The wedding photographer who was found by their mother, Pamela, was so moved by their story that he ended up giving them the photos for free.

For the sisters who have been in a relationship for nearly one year respectively, they have often thought about the possibility of having their father at their weddings.

Sarah told the News outlet:

"For me, it's all about the daddy-daughter dance," Sarah told ABC, "and having him give away his daughter to a new guy to take care of."

She adds: "We now get this moment for the rest of our lives and I don't think some people really understand that's why we were doing it.

"We want to capture the moment while we can."

Both sisters can agree on the fact that this spontaneous idea would go a long way to fulfil dreams they have held precious for years.
