Is it a must for a woman to get married?

On Morning Teaser today, the question is: is it a must for every woman to get married? Must a woman be stampeded into marriage?

Brenda is being pressured into marriage.

"Dear Pulse,

My name is Brenda and I am a 39-year-old career woman. I work in an oil company at a top level and without boasting, at my age, I have achieved more than most males in my age group can ever dream of. I have two duplexes in highbrow areas in Port Harcourt and I have two thriving businesses.

I have built a house for my parents in my hometown while all my younger ones have all graduated with two of them pursuing their Master's degrees in the UK.

The only snag here is that I have not been successful when it comes to men and I have gotten to the stage where I do not believe there is anything a man can do for me again and I have accepted my fate that marriage was not meant for everybody.

I have had relationships in the past but they all packed up when the men all turn out to be after my money and other material things.

But my problem now is that and they have literally married me off to more men than I can remember.

The last time I went to visit them in the village, my father gave me an ultimatum: to get married before the end of this year or he will not have anything to do with me again.

I am not perturbed by my single status but my problem is my father whom I love so much. I don't want anything to strain our relationship.

Should I succumb to his demands and get married to one of the men who have been on my neck? The problem with this is that I have closed my heart to love and cannot get to love any man in my life again after I have been heart broken many times.
