'How do I prevent my husband's family from invading my home?'

Ariana is worried about her in-laws who regularly come over to her matrimonial home.

What should Ariana do?

"Dear Pulse, my name is Ariana, a 32-year-old married woman with three children. I have been married to Daniel for seven years now but in all those years, I have been living in the shadow of his family members.

His mother, especially, believes I am not good enough for him even though we have been married for so many years. I know that Daniel is so close to his family being the only son but I am getting fed up with their constant interference in everything we do.

They must always have a say before anything is done in my home. It all started when we were dating when Daniel told me he is so close to his family. They were always in his house and anytime I visited, I felt choked and lacked privacy but Daniel kept assuring me that when he is married, they would allow him to live his life.

But from the first day we got married, I knew the interference would not end because his younger sister who had been living with him showed no sign of leaving even when their house was big enough for her. Within a week of our wedding, we had his four sisters, mother, uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces always coming in and there was no way I could tell them to leave.

I felt they would get tired and allow their son to live his life. But after seven years of marriage, they have not left us alone. My husband's family has been invading my house, making life uncomfortable for me, telling me what I should do, how I should run my home and how to bring up my children. My husband seems helpless as he has not been able to stop them from coming. Anytime he tells any of them to give us space, the whole family would be called in and all the blames will be on me as they say that I am stopping him from taking care of his family.I have had it to the throat and I don't think I can continue with this invasion of my home. What should I do?Ariana."

Dear readers, after going through Ariana's story on Morning Teaser today, what would you advise her to do? What would you do if your husband's family keep invading your home?

I will give my husband an ultimatum to keep them away.

I will personally confront them to stay away.

I will starve them whenever they come calling I will condone them so as to keep my home.
