A man has been arrested after he beheaded his young niece for money rituals.

Samuel Omosaba, the murderer

Omosaba, a jobless and single man who has been arrested by the police for the murder of the toddler identified as Adubarin Kola, had allegedly contacted a herbalist in Ipe-Akoko to make a charm for him so as to get rich and the herbalist reportedly told him he must provide the head of a baby for the money ritual that would make his a rich man.

It was gathered that the deceased kid was always left with grandmother anytime her mother, Bunmi, a trader, was going to the market to sell her goods.

But on returning from the market, Bunmi met her daughter’s lifeless body in Samuel’s room with the suspect nowhere to be found.

He was later traced and arrested and he allegedly confessed to his family members that he killed the girl for ritual purposes.

He was nearly lynched by aggrieved youths in the community before the police came to his rescued and took him away.
