A 15-year-old American girl has been arrested and charged for killing her mother and her boyfriend.

A 15-year-old Brooklyn, USA girl, Destiny Garcia, has been arrested and charged with the murder of her own mother, Rosie Sanchez, 38, and her boyfriend, Anderson Nunez, 40, on December 27, 2015, reports Daily Mail.

Garcia was also charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

The teenager has been charged as an adult for allegedly breaking into Nunez's apartment on Batchelder Street in the Sheepshead Bay Houses and shooting the duo because she was jealous of her mother. After shooting them, she went ahead to stab the victims several times.

Police said the bodies of the victims had been been in the apartment since Decembr 27, and that Garcia lived in the apartment with them.

According to the New York Police Department, Sanchez was shot multiple times in the chest and found sitting in a chair, and Nunez had been both shot and stabbed. He was found on the living room floor.

Detectives said Garia confessed to the murders during questioning an while talking with detectives, she told them her mother had been physically abusive to her on at least one occasion.
