This is how Nigerians reacted to removal of actress' name from "Avengers: Infinity War"

Funke Akindele is no longer listed among the full cast of "Avengers: Infinity War" on IMDb. Here's how Nigerians reacted.

The actress' name no longer appears on the Marvel Comics movie's IMDb page. The movie also does not appear on the actress' IMDb page as well.

The change came a few days after the Internet went wild when Nigerians 'discovered' that the Nollywood actress was listed among the full cast of the movie as a member of Dora Milajeon IMDb.

The actress was listed as  one of the personal bodyguards of the Black Panther, recruited from every tribe of Wakanda.

Akindele was initially listed alongside other cast of the most anticipated film of 2018, including Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr, Scarlet Johannson among others.

Pulse reached out to Akindele and her publicist for a statement on the trending story but got no response. Also, the actress neither confirmed or denied the story via any of her social media platforms.

Pulse also reached out to Marvel and IMDB, but is yet to get a comment.

Funke Akindele is one of Nigeria's finest actresses. With a career that has spanned two decades, Akindele has featured in hit movies such as "Isoken," "Jenifa," "The Return of Jenifa's Diary," "Maami," "A Trip to Jamaica" amongothers.

She is also popular for successful TV series "Jenifa's Diary" and a music oriented TV series, "Industreet."

Update: Genevieve Nnaji has been listed as a member of the Dora Milaje in  "Avengers: Infinity War" on IMDB, replacing Funke Akindele.
