UNILAG matriculates over 9000 students
Following the postponement of its 2017 Convocation ceremony, UNILAG has matriculated 9204 students for the 2017/2018 session.
The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof Oluwatoying Ogundipe administered the oath to the new students.
While welcoming and addressing the students, Ogundipe congratulated them for their success in gaining admission into the university.
The VC, however, urged the students to stay away from drugs, robbery and any other vices that can compromise their stay in the institution.
He said, "I want to admonish you all to stay focus; take your academics seriously and graduate peacefully.
''You must all carry yourself well, eschew all forms of violence by staying away from bad gangs.
''Always be of good behaviour so as to prove a worthy ambassador of this great university and a pride to your parents and the society in general''.
UNILAG postpones convocation ceremony
You will recall that UNILAG recently postponed it's 2017 convocation.
Ogundipe said that postponement was as a result of the ongoing strike of the non-teaching staff of the university.
He, however, added that a suitable date for the ceremony would be announced in due course.
