3 important reasons why you should always go to church
Here is why you need the church and why the church needs you.
Some use busyness as an excuse to stay away, others cite hypocrisy, ungodliness, e.t.c as their reasons.
Regardless of what your reason is for not going to church, the reality is that the church is a non-negotiable part of every Christian’s life.
Here are three important reasons why you need and should always go to church.
1. It is God’s intention for His Children
The Bible is very clear on one thing, which is that human beings were never meant to be islands. We are never created to exist by ourselves.
God created Eve so Adam wouldn’t have to be alone, Aaron for Moses’ mission, and even Jesus Christ had his disciples.
Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 says this: “It’s better to have a partner than go it alone. Share the work, share the wealth. And if one falls down, the other helps, but if there’s no one to help, tough!”
We were born into families, not by ourselves which is further proof that it is God's intention for His creation to have others to do life with.
For Christians, the church, a place with like-minded people, is our family. It is a place of encouragement, where we come together to reflect God’s love (See 2 Corinthians 1:3–4 and Acts 2:42–47).

2. It is an opportunity to grow
It is easy to think you are perfect when you are by yourself. However, the real test is when you are around others, which is where the church comes in.
Here, you have the room to learn to love others, forgive, stop being selfish and basically become a better human being.
The reason why the church is the best place for growth is that the focus is not on us here but on God. The more we focus on God, the better we all are for it.
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together … but encouraging one another” - Hebrews 10:24–25.
3. It is a much-needed safety net
Every day, we wake up and go into a wild world that does not always align with a Christian's beliefs.
Doing this every single day is enough to ruin anyone’s faith/beliefs especially if you don't have a place or a group of people to turn to.
People that share your faith and can give you the strength to face the cruel, scary world the next day and the day after that.
The church can be a great comfort zone where you get to unwind and truly rest in God’s presence.
In 1 Cor. 12:21, Paul said, “‘The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!”’
In other words, the church needs us and we all need each other because we, the Body of Christ, are the church.
