Grip Musik artist  Yung L discloses how he started music and the journey of his career so far.

He talked about having to drop medicine for music, and the fact that his family was not in support of his music dreams but the belief that his dreams will be accomplished has been what kept him through.

On why he didn't sign to Chocolate City, he says his mind wasn’t in tune to sign to Choc City even though he is related to Audu Maikori by family ties.

He explains the process of creating music, reveals his favourite song  and the influence  and wave dancehall has been making in the music industry.

“ Nigerian artists are scared to collaborate with me and  I don’t know why” , Yung L says.

He maintains that dancehall artists hardly collaborate with each other due to high competition, each artist wanting to be seen as the best.

He reveals his debut album will be released in the first quarter of next year and is to be titled “ Better Late than Never”.

He intends to make the dancehall genre more recognized and introduce more genres into the industry.

On his plans for the rest of the year, he plans to release another single and also complete the project of his ‘Banger’ campaign to discover an artiste.

On the industry, Yung L says he doesn’t believe in awards and is of the opinion that there are no record labels, rather the telecoms companies have taken over.

He also goes on to talk about his relationship with industry colleagues and more.
