Wissa, who plays for Newcastle, emerged as a hero for his team, netting two crucial goals in the pivotal match.

"We're expecting a completely different game against England. It will be very, very, very tough against some of the best players and one of the strongest teams in the world. We need to enjoy this moment. We've earned this match, and we can't wait for it to begin," commented the forward.

The DR Congo squad also features other names familiar to English fans, such as Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Axel Tuanzebe, and Noah Sadiki. Wissa himself endured a challenging first season at Newcastle following his transfer from Brentford, battling a long-term injury and managing to score just three goals across all competitions.

"I suffered an unfortunate injury, and the comeback wasn't easy. I wanted to return quickly and catch up, but that's usually a mistake. I didn't show my best at Newcastle, but I know my time will come. Perhaps it's right now. I want to prove to everyone that I'm in good shape, both physically and mentally. I haven't forgotten how to play football," Wissa added.
