Yamal almost delivers the assist of the season (vid)

Barcelona secured a 2-1 comeback victory over Atlético Madrid at the Metropolitano Stadium in matchday 30 of La Liga.

In the 14th minute, with the score still deadlocked at 0-0, Lamine Yamal attempted an audacious outside-of-the-boot pass after nutmegging Nico González.

The 18-year-old Barcelona prodigy's pass found its mark, but Fermín López failed to convert, denying Yamal's spectacular trivela what could have been the assist of the season.

The Blaugrana ultimately clinched the win with goals from Rashford and Lewandowski, while Giuliano Simeone scored for Atlético. Following Real Madrid's slip-up at Mallorca, the Catalans now sit atop the league table with a 7-point lead over Los Blancos.
