Go for results when you fast.

Result is the most acceptable universal language; everyone speaks it. You need to ensure that you will not be the one to hinder your prayer. Do everything possible to settle yourself.

How To Avoid Your prayers From Being Hindered.

Unforgiveness: This can hinder you; before you pray hard, forgive well.

Matthew 5:3-4(NKJV)-This scripture makes us understand that even when it is someone who has something against you (not you against him/her), make sure you resolve whatever the issue is. No amount of anointing can deal with un-forgiveness. You need to deal with it yourself.

Check your motive: Do you want something because you want to oppress someone or because your neighbor has it? You need to find out the purpose of something before you desire it.

An example in the bible was Hannah who wanted a child to prove to Peninnah that she wasn’t barren. Until she made up her mind that she was going to return her child to God and partner with God to advance His kingdom, her prayer request was not request.

James 4:2 (NKJV)- God doesn’t have an issue with what you ask for, He has an issue with the motive behind your request.

Settle with your spouse: You cannot enter into the period of fasting and prayer in 7DG having conflict with your spouse. Ensure you settle any difference. You need to flush or trash any issues you have.

Flushing means you just let it in your mind without confrontation while trashing means that you have a discussion with your spouse to talk about the pending issue to resolve it. This also applies to anyone in a relationship as whatever you do in your relationship is rehearsal for what you will do in your marriage. A house divided cannot stand; you need to be united as one- 1 Peter 3:7(NKJV).

PRAYER/CONFESSION

Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)  “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

Isaiah 25:6-7 – “On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples a banquet of aged wine the best of meats and the finest of wines.

On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations.”Matthew 24:28 – “Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.”
