Super Eagles defender signs new deal with Gent

Troost-Ekong spent last season on loan at Norwegian club, Haugesund where he captained the side for most of the season.

It seems he has been assured of a place in the Gent team, as recently announced that he has extended his contract with the Belgian side.

The 22-year-old defender began his senior career in the Netherlands with FC Groningen and FC Dordrecht.

He signed for Gent in July 2015 but spent the season at Haugesund.

Troost-Ekong was born in the Netherlands but represents the represents Nigeria and has six caps for the Super Eagles.
