SC Braga has secured the signing of Serbian international Katarina Rodic. The athlete arrives in Portugal with an impressive resume, including winning the Serbian Championship, Cup, and Super Cup, and is embracing this new chapter of her career with enthusiasm.
In her first statements to the club, Rodic expressed her pride in representing the Braga side, stating that she had been waiting for this opportunity "for a long time." The player also revealed that she was already familiar with the club and the country, having formed an "excellent impression" of Portugal after playing on national territory in the Challenge Cup with her previous club.
"I already knew SC Braga. I had also played in Portugal, in the Challenge Cup, with my previous club. I got an excellent impression of the country at that time, so I'm very happy to return," confessed the 25-year-old middle blocker.
With her sights set on the new season, Katarina Rodic made no secret of her ambition. The Serbian has set her primary goal as winning every possible trophy for the Gverreiras (Warriors).
"Our biggest goal is to win everything within our reach. I hope it's possible with this team. We want to win the championship and as many trophies as possible. I'm sure that I and all my teammates will give our utmost to achieve that," guaranteed the athlete, who represented Serbian club ZOK Ub for the past two seasons.
Katarina Rodic is the fifth reinforcement announced by the Braga club, joining Azul Benitez, Eduarda Campos, Gabi Coelho, and Aline Timm.
