Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha and Norway's star striker Erling Haaland headline the fans' World Cup Best XI, chosen through votes cast on FIFA's official interactive platform.
Vozinha overwhelmingly led the goalkeeper vote with 39.6% of ballots, following several impressive performances for Cape Verde. He even surpassed Spain's champion goalkeeper Unai Simón, who was awarded FIFA's Golden Glove.
Vozinha was a free agent after leaving Portuguese second-division side Chaves before the tournament. At Chaves, he played alongside Reinaldo and David Cuso, who joined Bulgarian champions Levski this summer. Vozinha made seven crucial saves in the draw against Spain in the opening match and helped his team reach extra time against Argentina in the knockout stages.
Haaland garnered 27.5% of the votes among forwards, having led Norway to their first-ever quarter-final appearance. He scored seven goals in five matches, including two that eliminated five-time champions Brazil.
