Venezia has finalized the transfer of Akor Adams, with the Nigerian forward becoming the most expensive signing in the club's history.
The former Sevilla player successfully completed his mandatory medical examinations and signed a four-year contract worth 1.5 million euros per season.
The transfer fee stands at 17 million euros plus bonuses – an unprecedented figure for the club, which secured promotion back to Serie A last season.
The predominantly right-footed striker boasts an imposing physique and an excellent nose for goal. He made a name for himself in La Liga after joining Sevilla from Montpellier in January 2025, finishing last season with 10 goals and 3 assists in 36 appearances.
Coach Giovanni Stroppa expressed satisfaction with the club's work and outlined where future efforts should be directed. "I confirm: he is an important player who will help us a lot," Stroppa stated.
"We have some gaps in defense, and we will try to address that. I'm not good at naming names; certainly, sporting director Antonelli also holds the purse strings, so we'll see what he manages to achieve. I am very pleased with the club's work," the specialist added.
