Nigeria to face Senegal in semis after draw with Algeria

Nigeria’s Under-23 football team on Saturday, December 5 played a goalless draw with Algeria to qualify for the semi-final of the U-23 African Cup of Nations.

The final Group B game was largely dominated by the North African side who finished as leaders of the group.

Oghenekaro Etebo’s free kick in the 32nd minute was Nigeria’s best opportunity in the first half.

Samson Siasia’s men however held om for the precious one point which sees them into the semi-final to face Senegal.

The Dream Team VI will now play against hosts, Senegal in the semifinal at Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor, Dakar on December 9.
