Arsenal are reportedly set to break transfer records in their pursuit of attacking reinforcements for the 2026/27 season. Their prime target is Morgan Rogers, and according to English media, the Gunners are preparing a historic bid of around €150 million for the 23-year-old Aston Villa England international. This figure would make him the most expensive transfer in Premier League history.

Following an initial rejected approach by Aston Villa, the London club has not given up on the player, who is considered a top priority for Mikel Arteta next season. The Spanish manager, who led Arsenal to the English title, sees Rogers as a crucial piece to further elevate the team's offensive prowess.

The player's valuation has skyrocketed after an outstanding season under Unai Emery. Voted the Europa League MVP, Rogers tallied 14 goals and 11 assists in the 2025/26 campaign.

Should the deal proceed at the reported figures, it would surpass the largest investments made by English clubs to date, setting a new Premier League market record. The current record stands at €145 million, which Liverpool paid Newcastle for Alexander Isak last summer. For now, Aston Villa remains intent on retaining one of their key players, but Arsenal's persistent interest promises to make Morgan Rogers one of the hottest names this summer.
