Budimir's transfer was made permanent in 2021 and this season he comfortably led the lines for Osasuna leading them to a league high 10th in the league to keep them up in the league for another year.
The 30 year old Croatian led the lines well and was at the top of his game, scoring 8 goals and providing two assists for his teammates, making him the club's top scorer ahead of Argentine club mate, Chimy Avila.
4. Willian Jose
After having a mixed loan spell at English club Wolverhampton Wanderers, Willian Jose went back to Real Sociedad, and was later loaned out to fellow Spanish club, Real Betis.
At Betis, it would be a keen contest for the number 9 spot as Manuel Pellegrini's team also had Borja Iglesias in the team.
However, this would not stop William Jose from making his mark as the Brazilian found the back of the net 9 times and also laid 4 assists for his fellow teammates.
His most effective performance was against Getafe, where he scored a brace in the match to win the game 2-0 for Real Betis.
His signing helped improve the dynamics of Betis, with Frenchman Nabil Fekir having more forward options to supply. Jose's performance was also important as he played a contributory role in Betis' Copa del Rey win this season.
3. Hugo Duro
Quite possibly one of the revelations of the season, the 22 year old has grabbed every opportunity that has come his way at Valencia.
Initially on loan to the Spanish club from Getafe, Hugo Duro has done well for himself, being able to grab the goals and the headlines despite playing in the much criticized style of manager, Bordalas.
Duro scored 7 goals and 3 assists in 31 matches, although he only started 58% of the games and only played an average of 50% of the minutes.
For a player his age, his goal scoring exploits rank him as one of the highest scoring youngsters in Spain, and it would be unsurprising if he turns on the radar of major teams very soon.
His most impactful moment of the season came at the Wanda Metropolitano where he came on as a late substitute and scored twice in 5 minutes to rescue the points for Valencia who were 3-1 down as at the time he had come on the pitch.
2. Arnaut Danjuma
The Dutchman has hit the ground running for the Andalusian club since his €23m move from English AFC Bournemouth.
He has gelled seamlessly with Unai Emery's system and has built a lethal partnership upfront with Spaniard, Gerard Moreno, who himself has been a key member of Unai Emery's project.
Perhaps a surprising move for most, Danjuma became an instant hit, scoring 10 goals and providing 2 assists in 23 La Liga matches.
As if that wasn't enough, he also racked up 6 goals in the UEFA Champions League, lifting his tally to 16 goals in all competitions.
His ability to play both on the flanks and on the wings was a crucial tool for Emery, as he deployed Danjuma's pace and ability to run behind opposition defense effectively, making the Dutchman very difficult for defenders to handle.
1. David Alaba
The Austrian is one of the most decorated players in football currently after winning everything while at Bayern.
Swapping the red of Bayern for the white of Real Madrid was one he couldn't resist and since singing for the Spanish giants, it has only yielded positive results.
Alaba's versatility has seen him play a key role for the Spanish giants, playing at center back, left back as well as in midfield. his fitness has also seen him feature in 79% of Real Madrid's starting sheet this season showing his ever growing impact on the team.
Aside from being efficient at the back, Alaba has also contributed going forward, scoring 2 goals and creating 3 goals for his teammates.
Perhaps his greatest contribution to the team this season is their La Liga win, and coasting to victory rather easily this season.
