“That Was the Goal of My Life,” Says Proud Enzo Fernandez

Enzo Fernandez, whose late goal secured Argentina's thrilling 3-2 victory over Egypt in a wild World Cup last-16 clash, shared his excitement after a memorable night.

“I just scored the goal of my life. We were on the brink of elimination, but we gave it our all. In the last 20-25 minutes, we showed what it means to be Argentinian. We are a team with heart,” the jubilant midfielder stated.

“I had been eagerly anticipating moments like this since the World Cup in Qatar. It was an incredible feeling to see it all come true with my goal in the final minutes. I thank all my teammates and the people of Argentina,” Enzo Fernandez added.

For a spot in the semi-finals, the “Gauchos” will face either Colombia or Switzerland.
