According to Complete Sports, the players on Monday, December 14, slept in front of the State Government House as they continue their protest over their unpaid salaries.

The players who spoke in the Complete Sports report vowed not to relent in their effort to get their salaries from the State Government.

“At the moment we are not ready to listen to anybody aside from the governor as all the promises made to us in the past were not fulfilled,” one of the players said.

“Imagine us going close to a year without getting our salaries when some of us have families at home to cater for.

“Until they pay us we will not leave the government house.”

League Management Company Chairman Shehu Dikko has revealed that they are in contact with the Taraba government to get the salaries of the players sorted.

Taraba United were relegated at the end of the 2014/2015 season and will compete in National League next term.
