Switzerland's head coach, Murat Yakin, will definitely be without midfielder Johan Manzambi for tonight's World Cup 2026 Round of 16 clash against Colombia, according to reports from "Blick."

The reason is a knee injury the 20-year-old sustained in the team's final training session. Manzambi had been the revelation of the tournament for the Swiss side. In matches against Qatar (1-1) and Bosnia and Herzegovina, he came off the bench, yet his two goals inspired the team to a 4-1 victory over the Balkan nation. The young talent then started as a regular and played a key role in the 2-1 win over Canada, contributing a goal and an assist. In the Round of 32 against Algeria (2-0), the Freiburg player once again started and provided an assist.

According to "Blick," Fabian Rieder is the favorite to replace him, but a surprise inclusion of Ardon Jashari, who has only played one minute in the World Cup, is also possible. The publication also notes that four other Swiss players are doubtful for today's match: defender Luca Jaquez, midfielders Michel Aebischer and Djibril Sow, and winger Ruben Vargas.
