Senate President, Saraki hails team for 3-1 win over Algeria

The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Saturday, November 12 defeated Algeria 3-1 in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Uyo.

Victor Moses scored two goals while captain of the side, John Obi Mikel added another between the brace to give Super Eagles the win.

Saraki took to Twitter after the win to congratulate the Super Eagles.

“Congratulations to our Super Eagles on the 3-1 victory over Algeria tonight. You have made us all proud,” the Senate President said.

The victory means the Eagles now top their World Cup qualification group with six points, four points ahead of second-placed Cameroon who played a 1-1 draw against Zambia who have just 1 point, the same with Algeria.
