The game at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba ended goalless.

This is how the Super Eagles players fared in that game.

Daniel Akpeyi (Goalkeeper)

Didn’t have much to do in the game but stayed alert anytime he was called into action.

Brian Idowu (Right-back)

Defended well from right-back all through the game but didn’t offer much going forward.

4/10

Semi Ajayi (Central defence)

Super Eagles best player in the game. Was solid all through, read the game well and showed impressive composure. Gernot Rohr will be pleased with the options he brings to the defence.

7/10

John Ogu (Central defence)

Another impressive game from Ogu who started the game in central defence and ended in his natural position, midfield. Showed his versatility in both roles to highlight his importance to the Super Eagles.

Jamilu Collins (Left Back)

Another under his belt but Collins failed to impress again. His defending always a suspect, not strong in tackles and offers nothing going forward.

3/10

Oghenekaro Etebo (Midfield)

Had lots of energy in midfield but failed to exert influence on the game. Still some level below his 2018 FIFA World Cup form.

5/10

Mikel Agu (Midfield)

Got himself involved in the game a lot from midfield. Got into some good scoring positions also.

5/10

Alex Iwobi (Midfield)

Played in his No. 10  role again but the game was too narrow for him to make an impact. Made some good passes forward but wasn’t that influential.

4/10

Ahmed Musa (Forward)

His pace is always a weapon and caused a lot of problems for the Ugandan defence.

5/10

Samuel Chukwueze (Forward)

An impressive debut from the Villarreal man. Was Super Eagles best player in the first half he played. Strong in possession and got better of his marker several times.

6/10

Victor Osimhen (Striker)

Led the line well for the Super Eagles but didn’t get himself in goal scoring situations that much. Missed a chance in the first half after delaying with the ball.

Substitutes

William Troost-Ekong (Central defence)

Came in at the start of the second half and led the defence well for the Super Eagles. Limited the Ugandans to very few chances.

Isaac Success (Striker)

Disturbed the Ugandan defence a couple of times but couldn’t get enough chances to score.

4/10

Samuel Kalu (Forward)

Tried very hard to make this happen but it wasn’t his day.

2/10

Moses Simon (Forward)

Came on late in the game and couldn’t make any impact.
