No fewer than three players are still being expected in the Super Eagles camp in Tangier after 21 players are confirmed to have arrived in the Moroccan city.

Nigeria's Super Eagles are guests to Liberia this weekend in a must-win match as they look to end the group stages of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier on a high. 

Three days later, the Eagles will host Cape Verde at the Teslim Balogun stadium in Lagos in the final match of the group. 

South Africa based goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi was the first player to report in the team's hotel after he flew in with officials of the team.

Germany based defenders Kevin Akpoguma and Jamilu Collins were the next to hit Morocco alongside giant striker Paul Onuachu of Genk. 

Six other players joined them hours later as the English contingent led by Wilfred Ndi

By Tuesday morning, the number had swelled to 21 players with the arrival of senior players like captain Ahmed Musa, Leon Balogun, Moses Simon and AFCON 2013 winner, Kenneth Omeruo. 

However, super forward Victor Osimhen and the returning Odion Ighalo were conspicuously missing as they are yet to join the team.

They are both expected later on Tuesday, while the late replacement for sick goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho, John Noble will join up with the team on Thursday. 

Nigeria currently leads Group D on 9 points, two ahead of second-placed Cape Verde.
