The Phoenix Suns have reportedly reached an agreement with free agent Luke Kennard on a two-year, $13 million contract, according to ESPN. For the 30-year-old guard, who spent the latter half of last season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix will be his fifth NBA team. Kennard was originally selected 12th overall in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons, where he played for three seasons before moving on to the Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, and Atlanta Hawks.

During the 2025/26 season, Kennard led the league in three-point shooting percentage (47.8%), marking the third time in his career he has achieved this feat.

The Phoenix Suns have had a busy summer so far, re-signing Colin Gillespie, Mark Williams, and Jordan Goodwin, while also acquiring Miles Bridges from the Charlotte Hornets.

On the same day, the Houston Rockets signed free agent Bogdan Bogdanovic to a one-year deal. The 33-year-old Serbian, who most recently played for the Los Angeles Clippers, is set to enter his tenth NBA season after the Californians opted not to re-sign him.

The guard has averaged 14 points and shot 38.1% from beyond the arc over his nine years in the league.

Two other players also found new homes: Dean Wade, also a free agent, will join the Philadelphia 76ers on a four-year, $39 million contract. The 29-year-old forward has spent his entire seven-season career with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Guard Keon Ellis has signed with the Brooklyn Nets on a two-year, $18 million deal. The 26-year-old also last played for Cleveland, but spent his first four years with the Sacramento Kings.
