Steven Gerrard and his wife Alex are starring in the campaign which is to promote British airways flights to the West Indies from Gatwick Airport

Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard and his wife, Alex are the star of a new advert for British Airways.

The former England international and his wife feature in the airline's May 5-26 Caribbean Campaign.

The couple took filmed at the British Airways' Engineering base on Monday, May 11.

The advert will be used to promote British airways flights to the West Indies from Gatwick Airport.

Gerrard will be playing his last game home game for Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, May 16 and it has been revealed that there will be a guard of honour captain.

Liverpool will be unveiling a mosaic recognising his service to the club while his daughters - Lilly-Ella, Lexie and Lourdes - are expected to be mascots.
