Today is the 31st birthday of Nigeria international striker, Obafemi Martins.
Martins burst into the scene as a youngster in the colours of Inter Milan in 2002.
He became a regular for the Serie A side and featured regularly in the UEFA Champions League.
Martins who started his playing career in Lagos with FC Ebedie, later moved to Newcastle United in England before signing for Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg, Rubin Kazan in Russia, Birmingham City through a loan deal and Levante.
Martins made his Super Eagles debut in 2004 and went on to score 18 goals in 39 games for the national team.
With his current form in the MLS, the diminutive striker is hoping and looking forward to another Super Eagles cap.
It is however left to only Sunday Oliseh to make the decision.

If he continues with his goalscoring form for Seattle Sounders, it won’t be long before we start seeing Martins in the green and white colours of Nigerian again.
