Former Man United £4M richer after retirement

Former Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson made £4m in his first year after retirement according to new reports.

Sir Alex retired in 2013 after a trophy laden 26 years in charge of the Old Trafford based club.

The year after his retirement, Ferguson's personal company has posted an impressive set of results raking in millions of pounds from book deals, personal appearances and public speaking engagements.

Latest accounts for his company ACF (Alexander Chapman Ferguson) Sports Promotions show it had total assets of £11,385,431 for the year up to June 30, 2014.

That included investment property valued at more than £1million and more than £7million held in a bank account.

The company, which is used to channel Ferguson’s earnings, owed £7,475,418 to unnamed creditors leaving Ferguson with a profit of £3,909,913 for the year.

That is more than double the figure of £1,598,415 which the firm reported in accounts for the previous year.

The profit comes from payment received from his role as a Manchester United ambassador, undefinedand his public speaking engagements all over the world.
